One day I was sitting in the cafeteria of the big tech firm I work at with my co-worker and boss, Louise. I'm 45 and Louise is 15 years younger but she is much more confident and experienced than I am. I've always been a bit of a wallflower to tell the truth.
The conversion had come around to harems and then, somewhat awkwardly, to talk about the eunuchs that worked in them. I had naturally considered eunuchs to be a shameful thing of times gone by. Louise corrected me with a sly smile and said that there were still quite a few eunuchs around in the present day.
"In Turkey, you mean?" I asked hesitatingly, somewhat surprised at her knowledge.
"No," she smiled, "Right here in America, some right here in this very town!"
"Oh, my goodness!" I exclaimed.
She laughed at my befuddlement. "Well, they certainly don't advertise the fact. It's not exactly something to be proud of. But you can kind of tell by looking at them, they look a bit pudgier and quieter than average."
I said that made sense but asked her how could she be sure that some random quiet, pudgy guy was, in fact, a eunuch?
First, looking from side the side, she leaned forward and said in a quiet voice that she knew because her sister was a surgeon that did the surgeries.
I was aware that her sister was a doctor but this was the first I had heard about this bizarre specialty. I was stunned by what Louise was saying and I looked at her in disbelief but I couldn't repress my eager curiosity at the same time. Louise knew I wanted to hear more.
She told me her sister had given her access to the master list of eunuchs she had created. Louise had been so intrigued that she had studied the list and made a point of tracking down some of the eunuchs and then striking up a conversation them when she met them in public. They were a little surprsied but didnt seem to mind the unexpected attention. With persistence she had been able to befriend three of them and eventually she had earned their trust to the point of their confiding their shameful secret to her.
I was amazed at the keen interest she was taking in these unusual individuals.
She went on to tell me that one of these eunuchs, an older guy named Harold, had been very sweet and coy about revealing his unusual sexual status to her. They had been sitting on a bench in a park at the time. He had leaned forward and whispered to her that he was a neuter.
"What? Do you mean you were castrated?" she asked in feigned surprise and wonder.
"Shhh! Not so loud!" he cried, and then, "Yes! It's true!" Then he hung his head in shame and sniffled.
She asked him, "How did it happen, was it cancer?"
A pained expression had crossed his face and he said that it had been his wife, Edna, that had had it done to him.
"So, now you basically have an empty sac hanging between your legs, is that right?" asked Louise somewhat insensitively.
"Yes! Yes!" Harold cried. "My sac is empty! She did it to me, she took my testicles! And she even wanted to take my sac too but I put my foot down and didn't let her, I insisted on keeping it!"
Just them a stout woman came bustling up to where the two of them were sitting, shouting, "Harold! Harold!" When she got up close she stopped and said, "There you are, Harold, I've been looking all over for you. What are you doing wasting time here with this woman when you have chores to do? Get up and go home and take of them right now!"
Harold had slowly gotten up and gave Louise a meaningful look before turning to leave.
Then his wife had sat down next to Louise and asked her what she and Harold had been talking about. Before Louise could think of anything to say Edna said, "Has he been talking to you about his castration?" Louise was shocked and managed to stammer, "Yes, he... he did.. he tried..." before Edna cut her off and launched into a mini-tirade.
"Oh, that Harold!" she said in exasperation. "He's always going around telling people a bunch of idiotic nonsense about how I had him castrated as part of some cruel female-dominaiton thing. Nothing could be further from the truth! He is such a silly little drama queen! The real fact of the matter is that he and I discussed the idea calmly and extensively before deciding to go ahead with it. I've always been the take-charge one in our relationship, I won't deny it, so it was up to me to go and find the lady surgeon to do it. I simply told her that Harold and I had both agreed that this is was something he really needed."
Louise had nodded and said she understood and that she didn't blame Edna in the least for what had obviously been a completely natural development in their marital relationship.
"That's right!" barked Edna. "And I'm glad you see it that way. Anyway, I was present for the surgery, of course. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. The surgeon sat between his legs and I stood behind her looking over her shoulder. Harold was awake, he had only been given a local, and I described to him each thing that was going on as the surgery progressed, from the initial incision to sewing up his empty sac."
"But... did your husband have anything to say during the surgery?" Louise asked timidly.
"Well, yes, he did," replied Edna huffily. "Silly, whiny begging stuff like 'please don't do this' and 'please don't take my manhood'. When I heard him I just snorted and the surgeon just chuckled."
"Really? She chuckled?" asked Louise.
"Sure, she told me guys are always saying silly stuff like that while she's castrating them. It doesn't mean anything," said Edna.
With that Edna had gotten up and told Louise she was pleased to have met her, then turned and bustled away in the same direction Harold had gone. I thought to myself what a miserable old battle-axe Edna was.
Back in the cafeteria, I had been listening to this story in mute fascination. I had been so captivated I was practically mesmerized. This fact did not escape Louise. She smiled sweetly and asked if I had any plans for the evening. I shook my head and she went on to ask if I would interested in meeting her sister, the surgeon. They had plans to get together that evening for supper and would I be interested in joining them?
I couldn't suppress a shudder when she mentioned her sister but Louise just laughed and told me not to be afraid and that Joanne was really a very nice person. Louise had told Joanne what an interesting person I was and was looking forward to meeting me.
I had to admit that I was somewhat apprehensive about meeting someone who specialized in castrating men but I was also secretly fascinated so I accepted the invitation. Louise had never doubted that I would. She somehow knew I was a sexual submissive and would be attracted to the idea.
When I met Joanne that evening I found that she was a very pleasant person who was just a few years older than Louise.
When the conversation inevitably came around to the topic of eunuchs and castration, Louise told Joanne how fascinated I had been with her story about Edna and Harold. The girls both laughed when I blushed and looked down.
Joanne elaborated on the story and said that it had really been a completely consensual thing but that Harold had gotten cold feet in the middle of the surgery and had wanted to back out. Of course, by then it was much too late. I was shocked when she went on confess that she secretly got a kick out of it when the patient expressed fear and reluctance.
Then Joanne turned to me asked me point blank if I had ever thought of being castrated. She asked it in such a warm, friendly and inviting manner I practically agreed to it right then and there. Instead, I told her that although I was a submissive the thought had never crossed my mind. She continued to smile warmly at me while I told her this. I hadn't thought of it before but she certainly planted the seed of it in me that night.
It had been a very unsettling encounter and it haunted me for weeks afterwards. I found myself drawn towards the idea of castration more and more. Having Louise smile that secret smile at me when we passed each other in the hall at work didn't help. Ultimately, I had to quit my job and more to another city in order to get peace of mind. But I still have a lingering hankering for castration from time to time. I might just take Joanne up on her offer after all. I know she'll enjoy it because I'll certainly be frightened and reluctant.
